Beginning of planning


Learning from the Game Off 2018 and various videos of great Game Developers on Youtube I have decided to take a more structured approach to this game project.

That means that I sat down and opened a notebook today and started writing down the base mechanics of the game. Basically it was just tinkering on the vision and determining which game mechanics would be defining for the game going into production.

So far I am pretty proud of my first results and I think this will be a good foundation for the future.

For the next steps I will define a critical path of features that need to be developed to make a game that is playable so I know what to focus on during development. This should hopefully keep me out of the trap of trying to make everything too perfect and getting stuck on the details loosing out on the big picture.
